Achievement Week

Achievement Week serves as an annual celebration of excellence and accomplishment. Observed each November, it recognizes individuals whose contributions have positively impacted their professions, communities, and society. The program also highlights the achievements of Omega men who exemplify the fraternity’s values.

In communities like Inglewood, Achievement Week provides an opportunity to spotlight educators, entrepreneurs, public servants, community activists, and youth leaders who may not always receive widespread recognition. By celebrating these individuals, we inspire others to pursue excellence and demonstrate that success can be achieved through dedication and service.

For Omega Psi Phi, Achievement Week reinforces the belief that excellence should be recognized and rewarded. It reminds us that our fraternity exists not only to develop leaders but also to acknowledge those whose work improves the lives of others.

Held in conjunction with Achievement Week, the International High School Essay Contest encourages students to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills while competing for scholarship opportunities. Students learn to analyze important issues, organize their thoughts, and express themselves effectively — skills that remain valuable throughout their academic and professional lives. For Omega Psi Phi, the essay contest promotes intellectual excellence while encouraging young people to engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
